Argosy University

Argosy University began as three simple schools in 1970. The three that made it up were American Schools of Professional Psychology, Medical Institute of Minnesota and the University of Sarasota which joined in 2001. The three combined to create Argosy University when Sarasota came into view. There are 18 real university locations and an online campus. Argosy promotes the idea of aiding students to find the perfect career. Some of the practical forms of teaching online were created by the Socrates Distance Learning Technologies Group. Each student who enrolls gets an advisor and faculty mentor to check in on their progress.

Accreditation:

The Higher Learning Commission accredited Argosy and it is also a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. HLC is recognized as a standard agency by the US Dept. of Education, there is also financial aid given to students who need it.
